TINA O’DONNELL SATURDAY SHOWCASE

It’s the weekly update to let you know what’s on at Southfield this Saturday the 4th April 2009.

We are having our Demonstrator’s Showcase and we are delighted to welcome back Tina O’Donnell, who is an extremely talented demonstrator and crafter. Tina will be showing how to decorate small gift bags and boxes, just by adding some simple but effective embellishments to  bags and boxes.  The bags and boxes are cut from our wonderful base materials using the RollModel machine.  The  RollModel is our new cutting machine from the same family as the Big Shot but the  RollModel is a much bigger machine.  You can book time in shop on the  RollModel to cut out all your favourite shapes.  You can choose from our large selection of dies.  We are offering a special introductory charge of £3 for 15 minutes or £10 for an hour on the machine.   Tina also plans to cover some birthday cards and make use of our brand new ultra sparkly glitter card and our beautiful irridescent glitter card.  Tina has a great eye for colour and detail so this should prove to be a great day.

Hi Crafters, we’re moving into soaps and oils this week as well as all our usual paper crafting activities.

We did go mad at the spring trade fair and all this fantastic craft materials are flooding in. We’re not sure our shop will be big enough. Anyway this Saturday we will have even more new products for you to browse through. We will have Yvonne Carruthers On hand from twelve till three. Yvonne is an accomplished crafter who has taken classes for Stampers Grove for years. She will be creating Wedding cards, invitations Etc using various crafting techniques from stamping to using Big Shots and CuttleBugs.

Southfield Saturday Demo time again so Jeanette will be on hand with helpful hints and tips on Easter cards and gifts. Having just returned from the annual trade fair we are beginning to get in our new ranges of stock so there’s lost to see, such as a whole new range of Sakura Pens, Pretty Adhesive Ribbons, Baby & Wedding Toppers, Brand New Range of Rubber Stamps and Inks. That’s just the start we have more on the way.

Lastly we have also put into the shop A4 & A3  pearlescent card and A4 paper to match the recent background papers. They are all here just waiting to stimulate your creative juices.

Well we love working at Southfield because there is always something going on. This Saturday we have a crafty double act. Helen and Harriet will be in our store making cards and passing on their wisdom of how to make great cards. They will be focusing on wedding cards but I’m sure they will be able to offer advice on all aspects of card making and Paper crafting.

Southfield has a busy Saturday planed the 31st of January. Because Jeanette was not well last Saturday we have moved the demo to this Saturday at 10.30. We still have places left so anyone wishing to come along should book in. paper.people@btconnect.com or 0131 654 4300

We also have Will Dunlop in the store giving us a showcase of his copper embossing. There will be pictures and one off books from his range to view and buy. He will actually be working in our store so you can see what a rare skill he has.

lastly we have a range of new easter papers just in. Its never too early to get started.

Knitted jewellery. So how does that work I here you ask. Well I’m not so sure myself but come along on Saturday and Rosemary will show you all the tricks of the trade. She has some great looking pieces that you can buy. Rosemary is also a card maker and makes stained glass items as well.
