This may seem to be a bit long, but we have so much information we would like to share with you that we hope you will take the time to read this all as we wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on all the fantastic bargains and offers!

SATURDAY 3RD & SUNDAY 4TH JULY - We have a charity table packed with loads of fantastic crafting goodies donated by lots of our customers which we will be selling for very low prices and all the proceeds will be going to “The Compassionate Friends” (for more information please go to www.tcf.org.uk) a charity which helps parents and family to come to terms with the loss of a child or children.

There will be a raffle for £50 worth of crafting goodies (the winner will be picked on Monday and will also be asked to choose the charity of their choice for our next charity event), 15% off all normal shop stock, bargain basket and half price on all cutting mats and scissors.

Yvonne will be here on Saturday offering a 20 min. ‘Indian Head Massage’ for £10.

And for the children we will have face painting, and No cook bakery classes with Jan for £5 making marshmallow roll, chocolate short cake, easy truffles and german biscuits. Classes are 11am - 12.30pm or 2pm - 3.30pm (please phone and book for these). So lots of good stuff going on  for you to come along and join in with.

Before our big event weekend we have on this week two drop-ins Tuesday 29th June 1-4.30pm and Thursday 1st July in the evening 6-9pm. Also on Wednesday 30th June we have a Parchment workshop 10am-1pm. Thank you to everyone who managed to make it along to our event on Saturday, it was nice to see so many people especially with the weather being so nice but I think the two fans we had set up helped keep things cool inside.

WEDNESDAY 12TH DEMONSTRATION - ‘Parchment Craft’ with Helena Malcolm. If you would like to see what tools are used and different techniques on how to create these beautiful cards then please come along. The demo is free and on 11am to 12.30pm.

THURSDAY 13TH EVENING WORKSHOP-’Cards for Men’ with Yvonne Carruthers. Stuck for ideas on Fathers Day cards or just men in general then this is the workshop for you. Price £10. Time 6.30-8.30pm.

SATURDAY 15TH PHOTOGRAPHY SURGERY-More insight from John Fowler. How to improve your techniques and take better photographs. Price £3. Time 10am-12noon.

And as always we have our DROP-INS which are becoming more popular, building into a nice little community of crafters sharing ideas and just having fun! These are on twice this week, firstly TUESDAY 11TH 1PM-4.30PM,  then SATURDAY 15TH 1PM-4.30PM.

Firstly we would just like to let you all know that we are open today Monday 3rd May so if you have a day off and are in need of anything crafty then pop along and see what we have in store. Tuesday 4th May is our usual crafting madness in the way of a drop-in session 1pm-4.30pm and then again on Thursday evening 6th May 6pm-9pm.

On Saturday 8th May, at last, we have our PRO-MARKERS’ demonstration! This is on all day between 11am and 4pm, so if you want to know what all the fuss is about or simply just want to know how to get the best from your pens then come along and find out. (This is a rolling demo which means it is a demo that is repeated so you can just come along at your convenience.)

Well we are coming to the end of the month and so to the end of our SALE, there are ONLY 5 days left(sale ends Saturday) so again if there was any Christmas items that you fancied last year but didn’t pick up then this is your last chance to get it HALF PRICE!

There is a load of new cuttlebug Embossing Folders in stock, a new range of stationery goods and our Sizzix dies and embossing folders will be in by the end of the week.

Drop ins this week are on Tuesday 26th as always 1-4pm and then this week is our late night drop in on Thursday 28th 6-9pm.

Workshops this week we have Parchment on Wednesday 27th 10-1pm With Helena only a couple of spaces left. And then Saturday 30th 11-1pm we have a General card making workshop with Yvonne showing you some great new ideas for cards for all occasions. Also on Saturday 30th we have the second of our rolling demonstrations(a short  repeated demo on all day so you can just pop in when you have time to see what is going on) this one is Ideas for your big shot machine! If you have or are thinking about getting one this will show you great things you can do using your machine. Well hopefully this is the beginning of the big thaw and we can get back to some kind of normality.

We have had to cancel our demo on Wednesday but the rolling demo on Saturday will still be going ahead. Also this week is the first of our Late night Thursday drop-ins so come along and join in with some fun 6-9pm.

We have a new page on this website which is the gallery, if you look at the toolbar at the top of this page you will see the word ‘gallery’ just click on it to see some fab photos of some of our cards made by staff and customers.

There is a couple of changes to the calendar and workshop events flyer. The rolling demo on the 30th January may be changed and the Mini Wedding fair on the 6th of February will now be on the 6th of March but if there are any other changes we will keep you informed.

We have a whole new range of SOUTHFIELD spring background papers, pyramage sheets and also a new range called ‘No Stamp Required’ which are A4 sheets of beautiful images in black and white for you to colour to your own taste and cut out to make your own toppers, so pop along and have a look.

Well thats us back after a nice long break for the festive season and we hope you all had a nice time.

To start us off we have got a sale on all our Christmas stock including Sizzix and cuttlebug Christmas stock, Christmas stamps and peel offs and all our Christmas card and papers, basically anything with a Christmas theme is included and there is 50% off it all! So if there was anything you missed getting or you just fancied for next Christmas then this is the time to buy!

We are no longer doing the Craft Club as such but we are now offering a loyalty card in its place so the club extends to everyone. It works on the system of every full ten pounds you spend in a single transaction you will recieve a stamp on your card, when you have filled your card (it takes 30 stamps) we will give you a £30 voucher. Only a full card can be redeemed against a voucher.

The new demo and workshop list is out in the shop and also on line if you just click on NEWS on the home page then click on EVENTS on the toolbar it will take you to our live calendar which is updated every week. We have kept 2009 prices for the workshops and we are now offering a 10% off voucher to each customer that books into one, which is redeemable on the date of that workshop. All demos are now free! There are two types now First is a “rolling demo” which is an all day demo which is repeated continuously so that you can just drop in when you get the chance and you will be able to catch what is going on and the Second is an hour and a half demo which MUST be booked due to space limits.

This is the final message of the year but don’t worry we will be back on the 5th of January 2010 to keep you update weekly with what is going on at Southfield. Are last day open this year is 23rd December so if you have any last minute crafting items you need then you better hurry!!! AND FINALLY on SATURDAY 19th December is our CHRISTMAS PARTY which is on all day and ALL are welcome! There are two demonstrations on with Jeanette the first is at 10.45am for 45mins then one in the afternoon at 14.30 again for 45mins. In between 12 - 2pm there is also a workshop on Rubber Stamping so if you are interested in any of these again please phone the shop to book.
