Saturday 4th September and Tuesday 7th September we have our crafter’s drop-ins 1pm-4.30pm and then we have our late drop-in, Thursday 9th September which is from 6pm-9pm in the evening.

Finally next Saturday 11th September we have a rolling demo on “fantastic flowers”. Lorna will be showing you how to make beautiful paper flowers from carnations to lilies using southfield’s gorgeous pearlescent background papers. One NOT to be missed!

Thursday 19th August is the last of our calligraphy classes for this season and it runs 6.30pm-8.30pm with Yvonne. £10

For any of you who do not receive our weekly e-mails we would just like to let you know that this months Making Cards and Parchment Craft magazines are both now in stock and we are happy to put one aside for anyone who would like one. We have some new cuttlebug embossing folders in stock and also Sizzix dies and embossing folders including some new designs by Tim Holts.

Children’s workshops we have - MAKE YOUR OWN MOBILE on Thursday 22nd 11am-12.30pm when you can create a fantastic mobile for your room or as a gift. There is also the pop-in again on Thursday which will run between 11am-1.30pm. Please book for the workshop.

For the adults we have two drop ins, Tuesday 20th 1pm-4.30pm and then Saturday 24th at the same time.

Then Thursday 22nd we have an evening workshop on calligraphy 6.30pm-8.30pm with Yvonne.

This may seem to be a bit long, but we have so much information we would like to share with you that we hope you will take the time to read this all as we wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on all the fantastic bargains and offers!

SATURDAY 3RD & SUNDAY 4TH JULY - We have a charity table packed with loads of fantastic crafting goodies donated by lots of our customers which we will be selling for very low prices and all the proceeds will be going to “The Compassionate Friends” (for more information please go to www.tcf.org.uk) a charity which helps parents and family to come to terms with the loss of a child or children.

There will be a raffle for £50 worth of crafting goodies (the winner will be picked on Monday and will also be asked to choose the charity of their choice for our next charity event), 15% off all normal shop stock, bargain basket and half price on all cutting mats and scissors.

Yvonne will be here on Saturday offering a 20 min. ‘Indian Head Massage’ for £10.

And for the children we will have face painting, and No cook bakery classes with Jan for £5 making marshmallow roll, chocolate short cake, easy truffles and german biscuits. Classes are 11am - 12.30pm or 2pm - 3.30pm (please phone and book for these). So lots of good stuff going on  for you to come along and join in with.

Before our big event weekend we have on this week two drop-ins Tuesday 29th June 1-4.30pm and Thursday 1st July in the evening 6-9pm. Also on Wednesday 30th June we have a Parchment workshop 10am-1pm. We also have in store our brand new line of Southfield topper sheets and have samples of some of them up in the shop to give you a bit of inspiration and in our on line gallery.

We would just like to say a BIG thank you to Edith and Linda from Ellanee for coming along and demonstrating for us on Saturday. The shop was really busy and  we have had a brilliant response from all our customers who came along to see them. If you didn’t manage to get along on Saturday or you haven’t seen them before there are lots of samples in the shop, and also they will be coming back again in the not too distant future, hopefully doing a Christmas themed demonstration next time.

N.B THE CHARITY DAY HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE EVENTS WEEKEND ON 3RD AND 4TH JULY. More details will follow next week!

Just a quick run down on what’s going on this week at Southfield Stationers craft shop.

We have two drop-ins firstly on Tuesday 8th June and then Saturday 12th June both are on 1pm-4.30pm so please feel free to come along to either or even both.

Thursday 10th June evening workshop is make your own Waterfall cards with Yvonne Carruthers. Yvonne makes fantastic cards and is a fun teacher. This workshop is on 6.30 - 8.30pm.

Saturday 12th June  apart from the drop-in we have a Parchment workshop with Helena Malcolm a seasoned card maker, this runs from 10am to 1pm. This week Tuesday 18th May we have our drop-in 1pm-4.30pm and our late night drop-in on Thursday 20th 6pm-9pm, also on Thursday night is our ‘Introduction to Photoshop’ 7pm-8.30pm this costs £3 and must be booked.

Saturday 22nd, along with everything else, is our first Saturday parchment workshop 10am-1pm. This workshop costs £15.

WEDNESDAY 12TH DEMONSTRATION - ‘Parchment Craft’ with Helena Malcolm. If you would like to see what tools are used and different techniques on how to create these beautiful cards then please come along. The demo is free and on 11am to 12.30pm.

THURSDAY 13TH EVENING WORKSHOP-’Cards for Men’ with Yvonne Carruthers. Stuck for ideas on Fathers Day cards or just men in general then this is the workshop for you. Price £10. Time 6.30-8.30pm.

SATURDAY 15TH PHOTOGRAPHY SURGERY-More insight from John Fowler. How to improve your techniques and take better photographs. Price £3. Time 10am-12noon.

And as always we have our DROP-INS which are becoming more popular, building into a nice little community of crafters sharing ideas and just having fun! These are on twice this week, firstly TUESDAY 11TH 1PM-4.30PM,  then SATURDAY 15TH 1PM-4.30PM.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our scrapbooking workshop for Saturday 1st May as our tutor (Marita) is stuck in Australia. Marita will not be back until 5th May so we will re-schedule when we know that she is home safe!
