We would like to Congratulate our Winner of the ‘wknd@stv’ competition Samantha Hendry from Falkirk which was aired on the 12th of September, who will be at Southfield tonight with her friends to enjoy her prize of a children’s crafting party. The prize was offered in conjunction with the start of our NEW children’s party plan at which children can come along, have fun and learn how to craft in a safe environment. These party’s will be held for 5-8 young crafters(age to be discussed on booking) and their friends for a birthday or any other special occasions. The party can be themed to the individual child’s tastes i.e fairies, pirates etc. And if you want to bring along a cake or party food to make it even more fun then you just have to let us know in advance,(although we do provide some juice and biscuits anyway). These parties will be priced at £8 per person and all materials will be provided.

Our ever popular Parchment class is on again this week Wed 30th and it has been so busy that we may have to start running two classes if the numbers get any larger (tbc). Helena is a very talented crafter and has been teaching parchment craft for many years now and has her own small following of students. So if you are interested in booking up for parchment classes please contact the shop and speak to one of the members of staff for more information.

A quick update on what is going on at Southfield this week.
We have got the first of our photographic surgery’s on Wednesday 23rd between 7-9pm on how to take better family pictures and portraits. It has been filling up very quickly so if you are interested please contact the shop as soon as possible to book in.

We also have our very popular Thursday drop-in session this week on 24th between 6-9pm, have a giggle while learning and sharing new craft and card making techniques.

And finally this Saturday 26th we have a showcase on with Lynn and Justine from Angel Designs. They will be in the shop selling and showing how they make their stunning hand made Jewellery, great gift ideas for Christmas, so one not to be missed by jewellery lovers.

We are now able to take any photos you bring in and turn them into beautiful canvas pictures this being a great idea for christmas presents especially for that person in your life that is hard to buy for, we can also make photos into coasters, place mats and for something a bit more fun A4 and A3 jigsaws. Still not got the picture!?! Then come along to the shop and see the samples we have got up on display.

We also now have our events calendar up and running all you have to do from the HOME PAGE is click on NEWS then EVENTS which is on the toolbar at the top of the page and the events list will appear, for more details click on the event you are interested in and if there is more information it will come up on the new page! Simple,quick and easy!

There are lots of new Christmas stock coming in all the time, the new Sissix dies and embossing folders will be in by the end of this week and we have our own Southfield Christmas toppers and envelope templates now in the shop.

And finally our workshop this week is with Jenni and she will be showing how to make fabulous jewellery out of paper, this will be on Thursday between 10-1pm, so if you like the sound of that give the shop a phone and Jeanette or Kim will book you in.

Loads of Christmas stock is arriving all the time. We have just had a delivery of ‘Buzzcraft’ pyramage and stacker sheets and amazingly they are still only £1 each. Also on its way we have some great new designs from ‘Red Hot Bed’ for Christmas and all other occasions, BUT most exciting is our very own fantastic range of Christmas double sided background paper and Christmas decoupage sheets designed by our very own in-house designer Annelies so, pop along when you get a chance and see whats in store.

PHOTOGRAPHERS SURGERY

Also we have got a photographers surgery starting once a month the first being on Wednesday 23rd of September between 7-9pm with our local professional photographer John Fowler who will give an hour long talk this month on how to take better family pictures and portraits and then will answer any questions and give any advice that you might need afterwards.

The Surgery’s are free to attend but MUST be booked in advance due to limited spaces.
