Thought it would be a good idea to give all the dates of this months events in one as it is such a busy month for us all it will hopefully mean that you can plan ahead and squeeze in any workshops you might want to do before we close for Christmas on the 23rd of December!
So here we are Thursday 3rd Dec 6-9pm is our ever popular evening drop-in session, Then on Saturday 5th Dec we have two demos with Jeanette Create a crafty calendar both last 45mins and start at 10.30am and then 14.30pm also on Saturday we have a children’s workshop with Ann Munro which is on 11-12.30pm making Christmas cards and decorations. Thursday 10th we have Jenni Hamilton doing her scrapbooking workshop 10-13.00pm and on Saturday 12th we have another children’s workshop Quizmas trees with Ann Gray 11-12.30pm more mysteries fun with Ann, also on the same day is our LAST Saturday drop-in session of the year so don’t miss it. Thursday 17th is our replacement Altered Art workshop 11-14.00pm from last month with Marita Soutar so if you were unable to make it last time you might this time! And is also our LAST Evening drop-in of the year but don’t fret there will be plenty more in the new year! And last but by no means least is our ALL DAY CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!! on the 19th of December there are two demos with Jeanette again more Create a crafty calendar for all of you who missed out on her first ones again starting at 10.30 and 14.30 and both lasting for 45 mins each and in between the two of those at 12-14.00pm there will be a workshop for Beginners stamping showing how to stamp good clean images and giving advice on which ink pads to use on different surfaces.There will be bargains to be had, mince pies, mulled wine and lots of fun. Please remember that apart from the drop-ins, to avoid disappointments you must book spaces in advance for both workshops and demos. Hope this is useful and hope to see you all soon.

Firstly this Wednesday 25th 10-1pm we have our monthly parchment class with Helena Malcolm which has been very successful to the point were we are considering putting on two a month to keep up with demands, so if you are interested in joining in for next year please call and leave your details with a member of shop staff.
Secondly we have our MEN ONLY night on Wednesday 25th which is between 6-9pm which is a hassle free night of shopping for any man in your life be it your husband, brother or friend just give them a list of what you would like for Christmas and we will do the rest with FREE gift wrapping as well and if that doesn’t entice them we are now offering them 10% OFF everything on the night so give them a nudge in the right direction so you can get gifts at christmas that you REALLY want.
Also on that evening we have the last of our present series of PHOTOGRAPHY PRESENTATIONS. We will be rounding up all we have gone over in the previous nights and then going on to explain how to take better picture of any moving subjects. So from cars or bikes to running kids or pets this session will be all about capturing the sensation of moving. With a few simple techniques you can be adding an energy to you images that will make you proud. Don’t miss out as places are limited
And then on Saturday 28th we have a Craft Robo showcase with Margaret and Frank showing you the wonderful things you can do with your Craft Robo machine and in the afternoon we have our Saturday drop-in session from 1-4.30pm.
And finally we have two dates fro Children’s workshops the first is on Saturday 5th December 11-12.30 were they will be making christmas cards and tree decorations with Ann Munro. And the second one is on Saturday 12th of December 11-1PM doing christmas magic with science sleuth Ann Gray.(Unfortunately THIS workshop is for 8 year olds and upwards ONLY!) So if you would like your crafting kiddies booked in please phone the shop were we will be happy to help.

This week we have a demonstration on Thursday 19th 11-1pm with Jenni Hamilton on scrapbooking so if you have ever wondered what scrapbooking is all about or just would like to see how to put one of these pages together then this would be a good opportunity to find out! Also this Thursday is our drop-in night which just seems to be getting busier and busier so feel free to come along and join in.
On Saturday we have our Jeanette doing TWO demos with even more Christmasy ideas first one is at 10.30 till 11.15 and the second is 14.30 till 15.15 PLEASE remember you need to book in advance for both demos and workshops due to popularity and availability.0131 654 4300
We are also planning two Saturday workshops in December for all your crafting kids so watch this space for updates.
AND AT LAST! The cuttlebug Christmas tree embossing folder has arrived,and some other new christmas ones too so best get in quick before they all disappear again.!!! Also due in this week we have loads of new decoupage sheets both Christmas and other occasions and lots of new stock from Crafts too for you to look through.

This week we have a great workshop on ‘Altered Art’ With Marita Soutar on Thursday 12th, 10-1pm, showing you how to make beautiful individual pieces of art using different, inks embellishments and textures. We have our drop-in session on Tuesday and then again on Saturday 1-5pm so if you don’t already come along its a great time to enjoy crafting and meeting a group of friendly like minded crafters.
Also on Saturday 14th a last minute addition is a ‘Stamping for Beginners’ workshop 10.30-12.30pm with Kim, what better time to learn about stamping with Christmas looming,learn which different inks to use for different effects and on different card stock, how to get nice clean images even with fine detailed stamps and how to mask images to make scenes.
And finally we would like to ask for your patience as we change the shop around a bit to try and organize it better so as stock is easier for you to find! We will be putting up header boards all around the shop so as to make it more obvious were goods are and you can always ask one of the assistants if you can’t find what you are looking for we are always glad to help!

We would like to thank all our customers who where able make it to our Special Events Day on Saturday it was a really good turn out and we think it was enjoyed by everyone!
For all of you that were unable to make it we still have some great bargains on in the shop for at least another week so get along to the Southfield shop to see what is still on offer!
We have drawn the lucky winning ticket for the Cancer Research raffle and the winner is Valerie Mcbride, we managed to raise £75 to go towards this worthy cause so thank you again to all who bought tickets!
This week we have our usual Tuesday drop in session 1-5pm and then a workshop with Jenni doing mini scrapbooks as a Christmas present idea, this is on Thursday 5th 10am-1pm. Also later on on Thursday is our evening drop in session 6-9pm so come along and craft with like minded people and get your first drink for half price. And then on Saturday Jeanette is back with some new Christmas card ideas at two demos, first at 10.30am then the second one at 2.30pm so get booked in before its too late.
Finally a reminder about the MEN ONLY night which is coming up on the 25th of this month, so if you have not already picked up a wish list you can get one from a member of staff next time you pop into the shop.
