Firstly this week I would like to remind you all of the Special event which is happening next month with Douglas McKay palmist and clairvoyant. Douglas came and did a group reading with the staff of Southfield last Thursday evening and what a fantastic night!! Normally I am quite cynical about these things but even I was impressed with what he said and did and we all went away at the end of the evening with a lot to talk about! He does a group consultation with a little bit of history about himself at first then he will get you to pick a sealed envelope which holds relevant information to each individual, with the aid of his pendulum, and finally, he will do a five minute private one to one with anyone who wants to.  He will be here on Wednesday the 24th March 11am-1pm it is FREE but you MUST book as there are limited spaces.

Unfortunately we have to postpone the Craft Robo demonstration on 4th March as they double booked us with one of the craft fairs but they will be coming back so please watch out for the next events programme.

This week we have our usual Tuesday drop-in on the 23rd 1-4.30pm and then this week is our Thursday night drop-in which is the 25th 6-9pm.

On Wednesday 24th it is our monthly parchment class 10am-1pm there are still a couple of spaces left so if you are interested please give us a call and we will book you in.

Also on Saturday 27th 10am-4pm we are HOPING that Jeanette will be making an appearance to do her first rolling demo of the year and it will be new and fun ideas with PEEL OFFS so I am sure she would love to see you all.

And also on Saturday 27th we have an ALCOHOL INKS workshop 11am-1pm with the lovely Yvonne. For new and exciting ideas on how to use your alcohol inks book in and come and join in the fun.

More advanced news: We had our very first Children’s drop-in last week that went very well so we will be putting on more dates for the next holidays.

Also we have the two Wedding Stationery classes coming up on the 6th March 11am-1pm and 2-4pm so if you want to make your own wedding stationery or are making stationery for someone else this is the workshop for you.

We have Two children’s Workshops this week Today Monday 15th we have Mother’s day cards and Easter bags with Ann Munro 11-12.30pm, then tomorrow we have Make your own magnetic fishing game with Ann Gray.

We are also going to try something new with a Children’s Drop-in session, these will take place during the holidays so this week it will be on Thursday. There will be a charge of £3 per child for materials and children must be between 6-12 years old and also MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. It will be held between 1-4pm and basically they can come along and colour, cut and stick to there hearts content hopefully helping nurture there artistic juices.(Even though this is a drop-in please give a quick phone to check spaces, thank you!)

Then on Saturday 20th we have our adult drop-in session which is 1-4.30pm as usual.

We have loads of new stock coming in all the time and have got NEW Sizzix and Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders and still MORE of our own SOUTHFIELD new Spring and Easter papers and also a fantastic new card called Lustre which you just have to see.

We afraid that we are having to postpone our Mini Wedding fair as we have just found out that it is on the same date as one of the other large wedding fairs. We will still be going ahead with both our wedding stationery workshops for those of you who would still like to learn how to make your own wedding stationery and there will also be a range of Southfield’s own beautiful designs of pre-printed wedding stationery for those who don’t have the time or inclination to make there own all at very reasonable prices. This is all still happening on MARCH 6th workshops are 11-1pm and then 2-4pm and both cost £10. (New dates for our Mini Wedding fair will appear in next seasons Workshop leaflet)

Now for this week we have our Tuesday drop-in and also our late night drop-in on Thursday 11th 6-9pm which is also an opportunity to late night shop.

Then Wednesday 10th we have our first SET demonstration with Helena 11-12.30pm showing how to get the best out of your Brass stencils using embossing techniques and stencil paste. This is FREE but MUST be book.

Then on Saturday 13th we have a rolling demonstration on Punch Art showing you different uses for your punches including making 3D flowers and card toppers. This needs NO booking and is also FREE just pop along when you get time.

Now that our sale is at an end we will have new stock constantly coming in. We have our new range of Southfield Easter and Spring papers some fab new 3D easter cards and some lovely valentine/romantic papers and toppers too.

On the drop-in front we have Tuesday 2nd 1-4.30pm with our usual friendly Tuesday mob but as always anyone is welcome to come along, then Saturday 6th 1pm-4.30pm for those who can’t manage during the week.

Also on Saturday 6th we have the first of our Photography sessions which is a simple introduction into taking better pictures with the emphasis on the composition of what makes up your picture. Focusing on landscapes, but many of the points, hints and tips will give you better insight into how to take a better picture all round.
